100 things about me (work in progress)

1. "horse" was my first word, or my second word after "Dad"
2. I have been knitting since 2004, I wish I would have started knitting earlier
3. I have the most wonderful family that a person could ever want
4. I really miss my grandparents
5. I saved all of the notes that my Grandma ever sent to me
6. I have a lot of projects on the needles that I rotate
7. I have eight classes left before my Bachelor's degree is finished. Yipee!
8. I am hoping to get my Master's after that
9. I would like a floral vine hip tattoo, in black with white flowers, but I'll probably never do it because I'm fickle about tattoos and would change my mind.  Tattoo's are kinda permanent.
10. I designed a LOTR butterfly tattoo and a lotus flower tattoo.  I should post pictures.
11. My friend Amy now has my LOTR butterfly on her upper back
12. I'd like to get a teeny diamond stud in my nose but I'm afraid it would get infected
13. I can sketch anything, ANYTHING

18. I can't decide if I want my own child or if I want to adopt one (or more), there are so many needy children in the world.

21. I am a second generation Finnish-American
22. My Finnish Grandfather was blacklisted from the copper mines in Michigan for attempting union organization.  I never knew him.  If I did know him I would have told him that he "Rocks".He also boxed for extra money and learned Italian from his partner in the mines.
23. I've been to Paris and London, I loved them both
24. I have an affinity for all things Jewish, I don't know why
25. I worked for three Jewish men for seven years in a high-end jewelry store, so technically speaking, I have 21 years experience. Hee.
26. My grandfather had mezuzahs on his doors (I thought they were weird doorbells), but he wasn't Jewish (that I know of)
27. I used to be a really shy individual and people thought I was "stuck up"; that hurt

29. I used to sell yellowpages, it was my favorite job ever, funny, huh?
30. I used to study Opera and love to sing (not Opera), but I don't really do it anymore.

32. I play the guitar but I can't read music very well.  I play the "cowboy chords". 
33. I love belly dancing tribal style.

35. I used to take horseback riding lessons when I was a child
36. I love dressage.  It is an artform. Did I say that already?
37. I didn't do well in math once in elementary school and my riding lesson privileges were revoked for awhile because of it.
38. I still suck at math but got really good grades in Statistics.  Weird
39. I got A's in geometry, weirder
40. In Algebra class, I wanted to buy a vowel because I couldn't spell anything.  Needless to say, I didn't do very well.  I still feel strongly that mixing letters and numbers in equations is a bit superfluous.
41. I used to hang out with a bunch of born-again-Christians in high school
42. I dig Jesus but I think the church is a royal mess
43. I think the Bhagavad Gita (Buddhist writings) explains things like loving yourself and loving your neighbor and honoring God, better than the Bible does and that's really sad for Christians that will never read anything Buddhist/Hindu.
44. If I could do my education and career over again I would be a family practice doctor
45. If I could do my education and career over again I would still want to be a knitter :-)
46. I think that blogs are a great way to know other knitters around the world

51. I used to want to be an actress; now I think that Hollywood is really a sad place; however, if I had an opportunity to be in an independent film, I wouldn't pass it by.
52. I'd probably have to though, as I don't have an agent and I'm not actively auditioning
53. I did audition for a film in 1999.  It premiered at the Sundance film festival.
54. In the screen test I had to act drunk.  Good times.
55. I was offered a part as an "extra"; What? I didn't act drunk enough?
56. I've read the Koran- I wanted to read it because I couldn't understand how a woman could be a Muslim and be sane (no offense). I do understand it more, now.
57. I think that the Jihad are similar to the crazy effers that blow up abortion clinics, only the Jihad are more intelligent (or have better tricks up their sleeves)
58. I think that Islam was intended to be a beautiful religion
59. I think it is very strange how Islam, Christianity and Judaism are so closely related and all religious wars are like family feuds, of sorts.

72. I used to get very scared when I was little and I'd think about "how big" outer space was.  I was told that it goes on "forever" and I still can't really comprehend that.
73. My favorite books are Memoirs of a Geisha, The Kite Runner and Wuthering Heights
74. If I could go back to high school, I'd be a goth.  I was such a preppie, it was stupid.
75. My favorite holiday is Halloween, I'm not sure why.  I think it is because I like to see kids all dressed up. 
76. I think Bush sucks and I'd like to slap the taste out of his mouth.  I'm hoping that Obama can help the country.

79. When I was eight, I went to Little Elk Ranch for horse camp.  It was one of my most memorable experiences.
80. I remember numbers; Like phone numbers for friends back in elementary school, birthdates and locker combinations.  I wish I could free up the brain cells that are stuck on that stuff.
81. Sometimes I'll dream about phone numbers and call them the next day.  Please tell me someone else does this.
82. I hate cars.  They are a necessary evil. But, I just bought a Jeep Grand Cherokee and I love it.  LOVE IT.
83. I used to have a VW Passat that broke my heart.  The tranny failed to the tune of 5k. I junked it out.  Here's why I loved this car;  Sun roof, moon roof, leather, CD changer, traction control, heated seats and did I tell you it was the cutest car in the world? Yes it was.
84. I now drive a Ford Taurus.  There was a skit on Saturday Night Live that said "if you see a thirty-something driving a Ford Taurus, you know they've given up on their dreams".  Thanks SNL. Bastards. :-) .  I have a Jeep now, so you can ignore what I just said.
85. I have an odd habit of messing up common phrases.  Like instead of saying, "I wasn't born yesterday", I'll say, "I may have been born yesterday, but it was really early in the morning".
86. I became an Aunt for the first time on August 22nd, 2008.  Hi JD!! I love you!
87. I have both Grave's and Hashimoto's disease. 
88. My thyroid is a mess.
89. I just had it "nuked".  Radioactive Iodine Therapy.  I hope it works.
