Yep. That's me. I've not been giving this blog much attention.
I must tell you why. Well, first of all, there's RAVELRY. I'm not as obsessed with it now as I have been for the past couple of weeks. I've figured out my way around and maybe I'll post some more pictures as I go along. But truly...the site does suffocate my schedule. It is both a blessing and a curse, I'm afraid.
Also, I went to IKEA in Bloomington with my Mom, Dad and Sister. Holy Mother of God that store is something else!! I can really get into that Scandinavian-minimalist-funk, if you will. My darling father thought that the colors were too primary and way too much. He's right. Primary color overload. However, your whole house is not going to be soaked in psychadelic red when you get home, so it's okay, you know? It really is. You could bring a couple of things home and it would look nice. not REDGREENBLUEBRIGHTPINK!!!! I brought home a wonking huge bag (made of tarp) for 35 smackers. I spent four hours spending 35 smackers and if time really is money then It was a wash (or considerably less maybe). But I truly enjoyed myself and my family is such a hoot. No pictures though. My sister has one picture of me at IKEA looking like an epileptic that needs a nap. So, NO- I'm not going to post it.
Ah, the knitting is complicated. It is now officially Socktober. I have a Charade sock that needs completion so it can be with its mate. I also sort of started a Halloween mystery shawl thing (see the sidebar for the button/link) and I don't have any yarn yet. I'm plugging though the sleeves of the Mariah sweater. I'm thinking I'd like to knit a different sweater. I'm thinking that I'm going to go nuts just thinking about all of the patterns that I'm thinking about.
I also may be returning to the halls of higher education soon. Wish me luck on that one. It is ALL about the financial aid this time. Fingers crossed.
